City DescriptionFreistatt is a village in Lawrence County, Missouri, United States. The population was 184 at the 2000 census.
Freistatt is located at 37°1′17″N 93°53′47″W / 37.02139, -93.89639 (37.021322, -93.896449).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.5 km²), all of it land.
At the 2000 census, there were 184 people, 79 households and 50 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,007.6 per square mile (394.7/km²). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 470.9/sq mi (184.5/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 90.76% White, 1.63% Native American, 2.72% from other races, and 4.89% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.80% of the population.
Of the 79 households, 29.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 7.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.7% were non-families. 34.2% of all households were individuals and 26.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.33 and the average family size was 3.02.
