City DescriptionEaston is a city in Buchanan County, Missouri, United States. The population was 258 at the 2000 census. It is part of the St. Joseph, MO–KS Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Easton is located at 39°43′22″N 94°38′23″W / 39.72278, -94.63972 (39.722644, -94.639783).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 258 people, 104 households, and 66 families residing in the city. The population density was 426.3 people per square mile (163.3/km²). There were 107 housing units at an average density of 176.8/sq mi (67.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.80% White, 0.39% Native American, 0.39% Asian, and 5.43% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.88% of the population.
There were 104 households out of which 37.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.9% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 36.5% were non-families. 34.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
