I finally got to return to the Toot Toot. The first time we ate here was in 2003. I only get up this way when going to family and high school reunions in Iowa. Now living in Texas the freshness of the food doesn't compare to food just off the farm. The first time I ate here I was nearly in tears (I don't cry very easily) over how great the food was especially the tomatoes! Everything was just as good now in 2008 as it was in 2003. I have been wanting to come back ever since. I have eaten many places but some really stick in your mind and this is one of those few places. Can't wait to return!

Our family drove 30 miles for my wife's birthday dinner. When we ordered our drinks, all four large drinks were dumped into our table and laps. We were soaked. There was an apology, but no effort to say "drinks are on us" or "to make up for this we would like to include a free desert." Instead, when I asked for a refill, I was told that I would receive an extra charge. There were no adults present to report the incident to. All persons on duty looked to be high school age. The cashier did not ask "How was your meal" but sheepishly took our money and did not speak. Sorry, Next time we will stay in town and go to the Quilt Country Cafe .
