While this is not the place to go on a daily basis (due to cost), it is an excellent place to go for fine dining with classic Russian fare. The wait staff, ownership, and chef's are all authentic Russians, or from neighboring countries. If you speak Russian, it's a great way to keep using your language skills too! The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is very pleasant indeed. Don't worry if you don't speak Russian. Everybody there speaks English too! Highly recommended for special occassions. The Borcht is one of the best I've ever had! The one thing I do miss is the orginal Georgian style bread they used to bake themselves there a couple of years ago. You can get Caviar (Beluga is the best if you like it), and many other fine menu choices. My favorites there are the steaks (always done to perfection), and the Chicken Kiev. Appetizers are many and varied, but for a truely awesome sampling, try the Dough Based Sampler platter, but make sure you have 4 people or more in your group, or you'll be too stuffed for the rest of your dinner! You can eat very well for around $25 per person depending on what you get. This is one place you will want to come back to again and again.

I saw all the positives reviews and decided to go myself. I had the vegetable fried rice & crab rangoon. Crab Rangoon was some of the best I have ever had. The vegetable fried rice was great too, brown rice with plenty of whole and fresh vegetables. I will definitely go back again.

Great food. One of the best around. Ever since the new owners have taken over the food quality is great, service is fast and friendly. House beef is great and so is the Mongolian Beef. Also egg rolls, crab-ran-goons, fried won tons are all wonderful as well. It is my preferred place for Chinese.

OK I am the typical man i love my steak, slap it on the grill 30 sec each side cut into it and hear it Moooooooooo. Not here, I had a burger the first time I went .. My Brother had the walleye plate, boy did I ever make a MISTAKE.. Ive now been about 10 times in the past 6 yrs. I Live in Union, Mo. and this is my Fathers Day Dinner every year.. It wil be that way until they go out of business oor I die on of the two , But Ill keep giong back untill one of the twoo happen.. Thanks to the GREAT FOOD GUYS

...the food, mediocre, the staff, decent, but what really puts me over the edge is the all-american bands that come frequently during the week and weekends! extremely loud music (the restaurant is quite small, so the sound waves bounce off of the walls and hit your ears in an uncomfortable way), which is american and lousy, doesn't quite mix with "okay" mexican food. however, their margaritas are quite large.....it seems as if they are served in a hamster sized swimming pool!?

Pretty decent lunch buffet selection, not as large as Ruchi's but it is still scrumptious and a surprising beef meat ball curry (not that it's a bad thing for me since I eat all kinds of meat). The curries are plentiful, Naan and Keer are there and even a veggie pakora. Would I recommend it? Yes I would.

We spent $41 on take out dinner for 2.....quite expensive I think but with 2 little kids you do what you can for a "night out". My husband ordered steak modiga and just got steak....no sauce. Our order was also missing parmesan cheese, after the bartender asked me if I wanted some. I called to let them know our order was incorrect. I was expecting a 50% discount or a coupon for future order. I laughed at the person on the phone when he offered me a $1 credit! I also think it is strange that this restaurant used to be in Ballwin. The location hasn't moved but now that Ballwin restaurants are non-smoking this restaurant is now in Ellisville! How did they swing that move????? The place is still a smoke filled den!

This place is HORRIBLE!! I wish there was a 0 star waiting My spouse and I went there for dinner with another couple and their child. We all got the worst food poisoning ever!. We called to complain. The manger never called back and nobody cared nobody apologized! And while we were there 2 orders werent even the right thing but we ate it anyway. BUt it also took an hour to get the wrong food and there were only 3 other tables there! I am very disappointed and Will never go back!

McAlister's is the best Deli in West County...by far! The only place you can get tea as good as the sweet tea at McAlister's in Ballwin is at another McAlister's location! Great food served with a smile!

Having been here now on three other occassions, I still look forward to the extensive seafood menu, specials and exceptional value! Love when the Chef comes tableside and personally asks how your meal was. The owners are there to greet and serve you, this is a top notch, upscale casual dining and perhaps the best kept secret in St. Louis, West County!
