His little shop is on the north side of the square in Ava between the shoe store and the pet shop. Retired senior Army enlisted, he has always done a great job for me and for many others who want be clean-cut without looking like one of those dolled-up college boys in Springfield. He doesn't take appointments as far as I know, so timing is the key. But even if you have to make a couple of stops to get in, there's good conversation, good company, and a good cut. Only $7 for a haircut. Best bargain in town. From a happy patron!

Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment because she is the only hairdresser there, but it's always well worth the wait. She makes you feel special and she takes the time to listen to what you're wanting...even when you don't even know what it is you want!! Very patient and sweet...and she does a great job!! I don't see myself ever going anywhere else!!
