    Paden is a village in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 106 at the 2000 census. Its zip code is 38873. An early settler of the area, Thomas Paden, built his home here, which he called Castle Garden. The establishment was burned by Union troops during the American Civil War and the area became known as Burnt Hill. When the town was incorporated its name was changed to Paden. Paden is located at 34°39′35″N 88°15′52″W / 34.65972, -88.26444 (34.659613, -88.264490). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 106 people, 49 households, and 29 families residing in the village. The population density was 118.6 people per square mile (46.0/km²). There were 65 housing units at an average density of 72.7/sq mi (28.2/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White. There were 49 households out of which 32.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.9% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.8% were non-families. 38.8% of all households were made up of individuals
