What is it like in either Tupelo or corinth mississippi USA?
Answer:
It is just like any other city... Tupelo is a small to medium size city.... Elvis' birthplace is there... There is one large mall called the MALL AT BARNE'S CROSSING and there is a another small mall called VANITY OUTLET, hundreds of grocery stores and 2 wal mart's.... many shopping centers and since it's in the southern part of the United States, people are much much friendlier.... I'm from Tupelo, MS... If you need more information, email me

Television Auditions in Mississippi? Question: I'm 14 and I really want to be an actress... my main goal is television but the trouble is I live in small town Mississippi and we dont have the money to jet off to LA or something. Are there any auditions you know of in Memphis or Corinth or Tupelo or Jackson? Preferably Disney please!!
Thanks!
Answer:
i'm from clinton, ms (right outside of jackson) and if your goal is tv then you are going to be out of luck. you might be able to do a few commercials...maybe a few extra roles...but if you want commercial success, misssissippi ain't gonna cut it. i've been working as a theatrical actress since '99 but that was because i moved out of state. but i totally wouldn't stress. you're only 14!!!! breathe thru it and until then get as much exposure as you can, where you're at. do plays (school, church, community theatre), get involved with any media or exposure to the camera, get some training...when you hit 18, go where you need to. all i have to say is parker posey...she's from laurel!!! also, check out the Sharon Ward Agency. They're located in Jackson, near the resevoir. i auditioned for a commercial for them once but since i'm never in jackson long enough, i hardly ever use them. good luck!
