Coahoma is located at 34°21′57″N 90°31′18″W / 34.36583, -90.52167 (34.365914, -90.521640).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 325 people, 110 households, and 74 families residing in the town. The population density was 3,663.5 people per square mile (1,394.3/km²). There were 123 housing units at an average density of 1,386.5/sq mi (527.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.15% African American, 1.54% White and 0.31% from two or more races.
There were 110 households out of which 40.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 14.5% were married couples living together, 45.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.7% were non-families. 29.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.65.
