City DescriptionWhite Earth is a census-designated place (CDP) in Becker County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 424 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.1 square miles (8.1 km²), of which, 2.6 square miles (6.7 km²) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²) of it (16.99%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 424 people, 154 households, and 83 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 164.3 people per square mile (63.5/km²). There were 165 housing units at an average density of 63.9/sq mi (24.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 3.54% White, 93.63% Native American, and 2.83% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.12% of the population.
There were 154 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 16.9% were married couples living together, 26.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.5% were non-families. 39.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.75 and the average family size was 3.79.
