City DescriptionVadnais Heights is a city in Ramsey County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 13,069 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.3 square miles (21.5 km²), of which, 7.3 square miles (18.9 km²) is land and 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²) (12.06%) is water. It borders the cities of Shoreview, Little Canada, White Bear Lake, Maplewood, and Gem Lake.
Interstate Highway 35E, Interstate Highway 694, U.S. Highway 61, and County Highway 96 are four of the main routes in the city.
White Bear Lake Area Public Schools (#624) dominates a majority of the area of Vadnais Heights, except in the Northwest. Mounds View Public Schools (#621) covers that area. Vadnais Heights Elementary is in White Bear Lake School District (#624), which is located at Centerville Rd. and County Rd. E.
The City of Vadnais Heights has over 100 acres (0.40 km) of parkland spread across 14 different parks. Including play equipment, trails, hard surface areas, picnic shelters, soccer and softball/baseball fields, hockey and pleasure rinks, basketball and tennis courts, and restrooms.
