City DescriptionTwin Lakes is a city in Freeborn County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 168 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), of which, 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (7.84%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 168 people, 80 households, and 44 families residing in the city. The population density was 350.4 people per square mile (135.1/km²). There were 83 housing units at an average density of 173.1/sq mi (66.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.40% White and 0.60% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.79% of the population.
There were 80 households out of which 22.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.3% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.0% were non-families. 38.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.77.
