City DescriptionSherburn is a city in Martin County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,082 at the 2000 census.
Interstate 90 and Minnesota State Highway 4 are two of the main arterial routes in the city.
In 1988, Sherburn consolidated with neighboring Trimont and Welcome schools to form the Martin County West School District.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.3 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,082 people, 484 households, and 285 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,220.6 people per square mile (469.4/km²). There were 535 housing units at an average density of 603.5/sq mi (232.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.63% White, 0.09% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.09% from other races, and 0.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.65% of the population.
There were 484 households out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.1% were married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.1% were non-families. 38.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.5% had someone ...
