City DescriptionLe Roy is a city in Mower County, Minnesota in Le Roy Township. The population was 925 at the 2000 census. Lake Louise State Park is just outside of the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 925 people, 411 households, and 249 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,455.9 people per square mile (558.0/km²). There were 433 housing units at an average density of 681.5/sq mi (261.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.24% White, 0.11% African American, 0.22% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, and 0.22% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.97% of the population.
There were 411 households out of which 24.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.6% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.2% were non-families. 35.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
