City Description

Lake Lillian is a city in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 257 at the 2000 census. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²), all of it land. Minnesota State Highway 7 serves as a main route in the community. As of the census of 2000, there were 257 people, 124 households, and 71 families residing in the city. The population density was 559.0 people per square mile (215.7/km²). There were 135 housing units at an average density of 293.6/sq mi (113.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.22% White, 0.78% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.28% of the population. There were 124 households out of which 22.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.7% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.7% were non-families. 38.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.07 and the average family size was 2.75. In the city the population was spread out with 22.6% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24,
