City DescriptionIvanhoe is a city in Lincoln County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 679 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Lincoln County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.4 km²), all of it land.
The Yellow Medicine River flows past Ivanhoe as an intermittent stream near its headwaters.
U.S. Route 75 and Minnesota State Highway 19 are two of the main routes in the city.
As of the census of 2000, there were 679 people, 310 households, and 172 families residing in the city. The population density was 745.2 people per square mile (288.1/km²). There were 341 housing units at an average density of 374.3/sq mi (144.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.29% of the population.
