According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 251 people, 115 households, and 66 families residing in the city. The population density was 476.7 people per square mile (182.9/km²). There were 126 housing units at an average density of 239.3/sq mi (91.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.81% White, 0.40% Asian, 2.79% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.79% of the population.
There were 115 households out of which 32.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.5% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.6% were non-families. 40.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 25.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.18 and the average family size was 2.94.
