City DescriptionEmmons is a city in Freeborn County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 432 as of the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 mi² (2.1 km²), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 432 people, 178 households, and 134 families residing in the city. The population density was 538.6 people per square mile (208.5/km²). There were 191 housing units at an average density of 238.1/sq mi (92.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.30% White, 0.46% African American, 0.23% Native American, 2.31% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.40% of the population.
There were 178 households out of which 34.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.4% were married couples living together, 11.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.2% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.43 and the average family size was 2.74.
