City DescriptionElrosa is a city in Stearns County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 166 at the 2000 census. It is part of the St. Cloud Metropolitan Statistical Area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²), all of it land.
U.S. Route 71 serves as a main route in the community.
As of the census of 2000, there were 166 people, 68 households, and 43 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,300.9 people per square mile (493.0/km²). There were 69 housing units at an average density of 540.7/sq mi (204.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.41% of the population.
There were 68 households out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.8% were married couples living together, 2.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% were non-families. 30.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 23.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.11.
