City DescriptionElizabeth is a city in Otter Tail County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 172 at the 2000 census. It has gained the nickname of E-town by some of the residents.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.4 square miles (0.9 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 172 people, 72 households, and 42 families residing in the city. The population density was 473.5 people per square mile (184.5/km²). There were 85 housing units at an average density of 234.0/sq mi (91.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.26% White, 1.16% Native American, and 0.58% from two or more races.
There were 72 households out of which 31.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.2% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.3% were non-families. 30.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.39 and the average family size was 3.05.
