City DescriptionCarver is a city in Carver County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,266 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.0 square miles (10.4 km²), of which, 3.8 square miles (10.0 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²) of it (4.22%) is water. U.S. Highway 212 serves as a main route for the community.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,266 people, 458 households, and 349 families residing in the city. The population density was 328.6 people per square mile (127.0/km²). There were 467 housing units at an average density of 121.2/sq mi (46.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.39% White, 0.24% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 0.95% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.66% of the population.
There were 458 households out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.2% were married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% were non-families. 17.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. ...
