According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.9 square miles (2.4 km²), of which, 0.9 square miles (2.2 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (6.52%) is water. 237th Avenue / County 24 serves as a main route in the community. Minnesota State Highway 65 is nearby.
As of the census of 2000, there were 443 people, 149 households, and 108 families residing in the city. The population density was 514.1 people per square mile (198.9/km²). There were 155 housing units at an average density of 179.9/sq mi (69.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.39% White, 0.23% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 0.23% from other races, and 2.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.26% of the population.
