Can anybody help me find beginner violin lessons in or near Belleville, Michigan?
Answer:
I'm not from around Michigan but I do suggest calling around to your local music schools....or ask referals from teachers, etc. My kids take violin (Suzuki Method)....I highly recommend the Suzuki Method as it involves the parents in the learning process. You do not need to learn to play but they ask that the parents sit it on every lesson so that we can understand & help our child learn and we understand what is expected & how we can assist with their home practice. They also include weekly or bi-weekly group lessons so that they can learn how to play in concert style! It's amazing! Also Suzuki is World Wide and every year (summer) there are Suzuki conferences where the kids could partake in group lessons taught by some of the country's best instructors. Also the World Wide Suzuki Method offers a conference every 5-7 years. The last one was this past April in Turin, Italy....We all went and it was amazing....the previously one was in Tokyo, Japan. Not sure they when or where the next will be! But it's certainly a great opportunity for these kids. The Suzuki Method teaches not only violin, but viola, cello, piano, guitar, mandolin, harp, voice,,,,,etc.... So my advise is if you can find someone in your area who teaches the Suzuki Method... the learning & advancement is much more emphasized and greatly appreciated! Good luck!

What are some things to do in the Detroit/Belleville, Michigan and surrounding area? Question: Myself and my 8 month old daughter are going along with my husband on a business trip. We will be there Wednesday through Friday. We should have half the day free on Thursday and all day on Friday.
What are some good things to do in the Detroit, MI area? Good places to eat, attractions, etc.?
So far we are thinking the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Zoo. But we are looking for good places to eat and shop as well. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant on the waterfront in the Port Huron area?
Oh and our hotel is in Belleville if that matters.
Thank you so much in advance!
Answer:
I've lived in Belleville my whole life and to be honest it's a pretty boring town. There are a few malls in the area but you'd have to drive about 15 minutes (one in Westland and one in Ann Arbor). Ann Arbor is close and it's a really cool town. Go west on I-94 and get off at the State Street Exit. Turn right and you'll see the mall on the left or keep driving straight and you'll go right in to town. It's on the college campus and there are lots of little shops, nice big buildings and statues, cafe's. There's a museum too but I haven't been there in years. There is a mongolian Barbeque that everyone always talks about so you may want to check it out. I hear the Botanical Garden's amazing.
The DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts) and Detroit Zoo are awesome and if I'm not mistaken they both run winter specials. I love Detroit I think it's an awesome city that just needs a little cleaning up. Great sites and lots to do.
In Belleville I can recommend Happy's Pizza (for take out). They just opened and have a huge variety of food from ribs, pizza, chicken, shrimp, banana pudding... the food is great and they have the best specials in the area. Also, O'Charlies is good as well as Apple Bees. There is a little restraunt On Belleville Lake (forgot the name since it changes every month). It used to be a regular restraunt with steak and chicken but now I think it's Italian. I've heard they're pretty good but I usually go to Olive Garden in Ann Arbor.

anyone living around belleville, michigan? Question: PLEASE HELP ME. my cat oreo is a white and black male 2 year old. he's so nice and sweet and loving and i can go on and on but i dont have much time. we cant keep him because my step dad is allergic, and we cant find anyone else. i love him with all my heart and dont want to lose him but my mom said he has to go and is getting ready right now to take him to the humane society. i dont want him to go. someone please help. i'll give you food, and his toys and his litter pan with litter to help start you out. please im asking and begging you all to help me!!
Answer:
I used to live around there, but not any more. I live in New York state now and our Humane Society is wonderful. If your cat is sweet and well socialized, they will do their best to find a good and loving home for him.
I feel so badly for you. Parting with a beloved pet is so hard, especially because you can't keep him any longer because of your situation at home. I had to leave a pet behind because I was moving where I couldn't have a cat and it broke my heart to leave her behind. I've had many cats since then and have a wonderful cat now, so don't give up hope that you'll never be able to have another cat.
Keep a scrapbook or journal with pictures and memories of your cat. Then you will always have the memories to cherish. And someday soon I hope you will be able to get another cat to share your life with.
Good luck and God bless!
