President Bush's approval rating is in deep toilet, but did you know about the Alma College Poll? Question: I read this in the Washington Times this morning. Alma College in southern Michigan is a Liberal bastion in a Liberal Nanny state, yet, the results of their poll has the President as THE most admired person in the nation. Not Bill Clinton, not Hillary Clinton, not Obama, but poor old ignorant, stupid, election stealing, can't talk, violater of our constitution, and all round bad guy, George W. Bush.
Why do you think that is? Try to be objective and please cut out the insults for a change.
http://washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20 070802/NATION/108020066/1002
Ok, Alma College is about 1/3 of the way up from the southern border, so maybe it is not southern MI. Michigan is still a Nanny state, I know, I lived there for a short while.
Amazing how people do not recognize sarcasm. A flaming Liberals has added me as a contact, and at least two Conservatives blessed me out for being a Liberal!

Answer:
Why don't you try not coming out lies and assaults.
And for your information your Communist party of Democrats have a lower rating DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Read this about your idiots as a whole from this entered into Congress in 1963 as they have done most already. Pig head.
1963 Communist Goals
The following was entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. (a Floridian who served in Congress from 1949-69) in 1963.
1) US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war
2) US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war
3) Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of "moral strength"
4) Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
5) Extension of long term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites
6) Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination
7) Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.
8) Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN
9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress
10) Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN
11) Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo)
12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party
13) Do away with loyalty oaths
14) Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office
15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the US
16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books.
18) Gain control of all student newspapers
19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.
20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.
22) Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings", substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.
23) Control art critics and directors of art museums. " Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art".
24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.
25) Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
26) Present Homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as "normal, natural, and healthy".
27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch"
28) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state"
29) Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
30) Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man".
31) Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture:" Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.
32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture - - education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
33) Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.
34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI
36) Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
37) Infiltrate and gain control of big business
38) Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.
40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political, or social problems.
43) Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.
44) Internationalize the Panama Canal.
45) Repeal the Connally Reservation so the US can not prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

Will Nick Saban leave Alabama a the end of the season? Question: Shortly before the tide signed Saban away from the Miami Dolophins, LSU briefly considered welcoming him back. However, they reasoned that they had no reason to drop Les Miles seeing as he is like 24-2 as a head coach there. Now, at the end of the season, Miles is eyeing a new job. Where would he go that is better than LSU, you ask? No, USC is not releiving Pete Carroll of his duties, but someone else is: Miles' alma mater: current 1-2 Michigan. LSU's contract with miles states he is free to leave to any school but Michigan freely, but if he is to go to UM he would have to pay a fine of 1.5 million. Michigan is primed to drop Lloyd Carr at the end of the season and has let Miles know they would pick up his penalty fine. That leaves LSU without a coach. Will they accept Saban back with open arms? Or better yet, will Saban want to return to the perennial powerhouse? You decide......
Answer:
Nick Saban will not leave Alabama at the end of this season or the season after that, there's no coach in the right mind would leave the ultimate job like Alabama, even Nick Saban who's everyone say he got no loyalty, will not leave Alabama. But Les Miles will leave LSU for Michigan, because that's Les Miles ultimate dream job and even LSU put a clause that's if Les Miles leave for any other job, there's no buyout but if he leave for the Michigan job there's a $1.5 million dollars buyout. So expect Les Miles to leave LSU for the Michigan head coaching job at season end. The Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr, it look like he's gonna leave and retire at season end. Now the LSU job is open but Nick Saban will not be a candidate, but it's gonna be fun with the speculation of who's the school gonna pick for their new coach is.

What are some good colleges to apply to? Question: Okay guys, I'm giving you an opportunity to plug your alma maters here.
I'm going to be heading into my senior year of HS next year and I'm going on college tours and starting my applications this summer. I have an SAT score of 2230 and a GPA of 3.3, a few extra-cirriculars and a bunch of community service.
What schools in the Northeast to northern midwest, along the lines of the following, would you suggest. I don't care about large vs. small or private vs. public or liberal arts or whatever, as long as they're not extremely religiously affiliated. Just trying to get an overview.
Mass: Northeastern, BU, Brandeis
Conn: ConnColl, UConn
NY: Syracuse, Geneseo, Binghamton, Union, Sarah Lawrence
Penn: PennState, Muhlenberg, Franklin&Marshall, UPenn
DC: GWU, American
Maryland, Delaware, Wisky, Michigan
I will probably apply early to Syracuse Newhouse School of Journalism but if anyone has some good suggestions, ask away.
Also could mention I had a 33 ACT.
Thanks
Answer:
I think your best option would be to search for universities that specialize in the particular program you want to go into. If Journalism is your thing, find universities that have excellent journalism departments.
It may be outside of your zone of looking, but if you are actually searching for journalism, perhaps my alma mater of Marshall University in Huntington, WV would be appropriate. The school newspaper has been established for over 100 years and the student radio station WMUL has won numerous national awards for student broadcasting.

How does Touchdown Jesus feel about a Notre Dame Victory of Purdue today? Question: Touchdown Jesus has once again let down my alma mater Michigan State.
Alas, I am punished for my not believing in the divinity of touchdown Jesus.
Answer:
I knew that T.J. was an Irish fan but I still wanted Purdue to beat them. Does that make me an Atheist? I prayed to the FSM for a Purdue victory and they lost.Does that prove that the FSM doesn't exist? Hmmmmm Or does it just prove that T.J. is stronger than the FSM? Hmmm(points to ponder)

Really want to get into a college, but I am not sure if I can make it? Question: I don't have the exact recommendation a certain college is looking for, but the alternative is not appealing at all (almost nothing to study but a few topics). I really like the college and I know others with lower scores then I made it, but I'm worried and nervous that I will be rejected and then I will have nothing else to look forward for further education till I get a car. If anyone has gone through this and made it is there any advice you can give for me? The college I am interested in is Alma College in Alma Michigan, my ACT scores is a 18 lower by 3 to their recommendation and I think I have a B- average to their suggested B average, I also have 0 credits in foreign language to their suggest 2, but I am entertaining my 4th year of math one more then their suggested. I'm also praised almost by all my teachers (not sure if that helps). Well I am just really nervous so any advice that would help.
edit actually I think their suggest ACT score is 23, sorry bad mental math
Answer:
You can better your chances of admission by retaking the ACT and studying more for it. Ask for letters of recommendation (if the school needs them) from teachers who you know will give you good comments. Good letters usually help an application.
You shouldn't worry about the numbers though -- they are averages, so that means people get in who have both lower and higher numbers.

The Big One: Saturday, Noon, who will be victorious? Question: Four college alumni were climbing a mountain one day: An Ohio State grad, a Michigan grad, a Penn State grad and a Notre Dame grad. Each proclaimed to be the most loyal fan of their alma mater. As they climbed higher, they argued as to which of them was the most loyal of all.
They continued to argue all the way to the top when the Notre Dame grad hurled himself off the mountainside shouting, “This is for the Fighting Irish.”
Not wanting to be outdone, the Penn State grad threw himself off the mountain proclaiming, “This is for the Nittany Lions.’’
Seeing this, the Michigan grad walked over and shouted, “This is for the Wolverines” and pushed the Ohio State grad off the mountain.

Please list other colleges that you would recommend at this level. I have a 3.58 gpa and I want to major in Biochemistry.
Answer:
Check you list by this list of top ranking programs in Biochemistry. That should give you an idea of what is workable for you. Instate is always cheaper. Private schools are the most expensive. Distance from home may also be a concern. (i.e. flying to and from school can get expensive)

It pays to go to the best school in your field within your range of choices. You may need a masters or doctorate to become qualified for what you want to do. Having a strong background will help your chance of getting into the advanced programs.

I want to go back to undergrad for another major!? Question: I am a recent college graduate; I graduated on June 2007 with an undergraduate degree in Journalism. However, recently I've become interested in going back to school to pursue another undergraduate major in Accounting, but I do not wish to go back to my alma mater to do so.
1) Would I be applying to any schools of business as a transfer student? Does my standing as a college graduate hinder the process in any way?
2) I do not meet the prerequisite for many business schools. Am I completely unqualified to apply to a business school? Or can I be accepted with the condition that I take microeconomics during the summer before the fall semester begins? I believe many schools work with qualified students who do not meet prerequisites.
I've emailed University of Michigan (as an example) and they do not transfer students already with a degree. Many other schools are the same. So, what's the best course of action for me? Go to grad school or retry undergrad?
Can I apply as a "new" undergraduate student with the option of transferring usable credits? I didn't know that was possible.
