City Description

Cordaville is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Southborough in Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 2,515 at the 2000 census. Cordaville is located at 42°16′12″N 71°31′37″W / 42.27°N 71.52694°W / 42.27; -71.52694 (42.269947, -71.526869). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.8 km² (1.9 mi²), all land. As of the census of 2000, there were 2,515 people, 811 households, and 683 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 524.9/km² (1,360.6/mi²). There were 820 housing units at an average density of 171.1/km² (443.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.21% White, 0.80% African American, 5.17% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 0.72% from other races, and 0.99% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.75% of the population. There were 811 households out of which 54.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.6% were married couples living together, 5.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.7% were non-families. 11.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
