Boston, Massachusetts? Question: I am planning on going to boston in the winter [december] and I am planning to stay in the Boston Harbor Hotel, with my two kids [11 and 15]. How's the hotel? Hows boston?
Answer:
The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of the most expensive hotels in Boston, like thousands of dollars a night! The location of the hotel is amazing and it is just beautiful. Boston is one of the nicest cities in the world. The North End is wonderful with its fabulous Italian Restaurants and espresso its like you've just walked onto a street in Italy. Since you are going during the winter Boston Common is like the Central Park of Boston. During winter time they put up Christmas lights and an evening walk with a cup of hot cocoa is amazing. Your kids will definitely enjoy all there is to do in Boston, such as the aquarium, and the science museum. Also if your looking to learn a little bit you can take the Freedom Trail Tour where you'll go on a walking tour around Boston and they'll show you the historic places like where Paul Revere lived. There is so much beautiful and exciting things to do in Boston you and your kids will have a great time and you'll want to return.

how can I get a real estate license in Boston Massachusetts? Question: I would like to be a rental/sale real estate agent in Boston, MA. What am I supposed to do? Where can I take the examination and what courses should I complete?
Answer:
First, you need a broker to "sponser" you. If you get your Realtor's license you must have some where legal to place it. You can't just "go get a license".
It is the same all over. You have to take a class consisting of so many hours. You have to pass a test after completing the class. IF you take the required class and pass the test, you go on and take the state board. Real Estate laws vary from state to state. You can be licensed in more than one state but you have to take their state board and pass it.
IF you pass the state board test you can go to work for your sponser. You can leave that employment if you choose to and go some where else as long as you have a broker that holds your license for you. If you do not have a broker, the broker you left has to send your license back to the board. You cannot practice without it. If you are in between jobs or decide you don't want to do Real Estate for awhile, you may contact the board and escrow your license with them for a certain period of time.
You also have to complete a class of continuing education every year. It has to be an 8 hour class. If you do not complete the class, you cannot practice. There isn't a test at the end of the class. You just have to attend.
That is about it. You will receive training from your broker as to what the company expects and any other classes they require you to take. They usually pay for your initial Realtor's class and any others you take.
If you want to become a broker you can do so after a certain amount of time spent working under a broker. That should be your goal because that is where the BIG money is.
Good Luck and Kiss your life (as you know it good bye) Real Estate is a full, full, full, full time job or you don't make enough to live on. Your phone rings 24/7 (if you are lucky) You show homes 24/7 (if you are lucky) You never complete a meal (if you are lucky) There is back stabbing like you have never seen before in your life. We used to have an old rule, "if you show someone more than five houses, they will end up buying from someone else." That was about 20 years ago when I worked in the field. NOW, it is normal to show FIFTY homes. I would never make it now..............When I left I went into Apartment and condo management. I liked the steady paycheck and more regular hours.

Where to play snooker in Boston, Massachusetts? Question: I have been looking for a place to play snooker in Boston, Massachusetts but most billiard halls don't have them. So I am wondering what places actually have the tables here.(Besides Good Time Emporium)
Answer:
Sorry to be of little help, but I don't know of another place around that has snooker tables. My only guesses would be World Class Billiards in Peabody or Country Club in Chelmsford, but even they're doubtful. Unless there's a small English or Irish pub that's hiding a table that I haven't heard of.

how do i volunteer to work in a shelter in Boston Massachusetts? Question: do i have to sign up with a agency.
if so what kind of questions do they ask when you go and sign up?
can i volunteer once a month
Answer:
You need to go to that shelter and apply to be a volunteers worker, than wait for them to contact you which may take some time! I know if someone is offering to work for free why not contact fast, but they take their time, as if you had forever to wait! Anyways, I applied once and some of them never got back to me, do you think it maybe be because they can feel that I am a very honest person who speaks the truth as she sees it (of course the truth as I see it may have a curse word here and there, not my fault, I am Italian!)

How's the library science and information program at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts? Question: Or you can just tell me what Simmons College is like. Thanks!
Answer:
Simmons has a well respected library science program. Their main areas of expertise are archives and preservation, and services for children and youth, but overall, it's a strong program. I believe it's the best one in that region, certainly the best in Boston.
Simmons College itself is in a beautiful area of Boston, very studenty. I've been on the campus and I thought it was pretty, but I don't remember much beyond that from my visit.

I live in Massachusetts Boston, and would like to know, do my employees have to get a 30 min break every 6 hrs Question: I live in Massachusetts Boston, and would like to know, do my employees have to get a 30 min break every 6 hours, in the state law it yes I do, but if the employee works from 10 am to 4 pm, and then they shift, do I have to give that employee a 30 minute break before the shift because thats exactly 6 hours.
Also I believe that the Prudential Center has a law stating that the employees are not entitled to a meal break.
And my final question is, if the employee on purpose comes earlier then scheduled work time and leaves later then her scheduled work time and then asks to be paid extra, does she have to get paid? Because this continues every day.
Example: Work starts at 10 pm, she comes at 9:30, work for her ends at 4 pm, she leave at 4:30, and then she asks to be paid for her extra work, I believe that no she shouldn't or does the law say something else? Please help!
Answer:
Yes you have to give them a meal break, however it is an unpaid break I believe.
As far as employees clocking in early and leaving late, you need to make a policy, that you can only clock in 5 minutes before your scheduled start time, and unless asked, you must punch out no later than 5 minutes after your finish time.
