City DescriptionWillards is a town in Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. The population was 938 at the 2000 census. It is included in the Salisbury, Maryland Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Willards is located at 38°23′24″N 75°21′1″W / 38.39, -75.35028 (38.389927, -75.350254).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 938 people, 364 households, and 259 families residing in the town. The population density was 978.3 people per square mile (377.3/km²). There were 386 housing units at an average density of 402.6/sq mi (155.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 88.91% White, 6.29% African American, 2.99% Asian, 0.96% from other races, and 0.85% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.77% of the population.
There were 364 households out of which 39.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% were married couples living together, 15.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.6% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
