    Take a drive north to Frederick,Maryland (About 20 minutes drive North from Columbia (Straight up 70 North from Rt 29) to the Catoctin Mountains.Incredible views, great running trails,not crowded but safe and the trails are open year round for Hikers, Campers and Runners.Well worth the short drive...... Definately a "challenging" workout!

    Eyres Bus Service. Runs several trips into Washington D.C.Monday through Friday From 5: 00 AM to 9:00 A.M.in the morning. Returning from D.C. to Columbia MD. from 2:30 P.M. until 9:30 PM. They provide several stops on Capital Hill. It is a very nice to get a extra hour of sleep or get a head start on your next assignment while someone else does the driving. Parking is expensive and parking spaces are hard to find in Downtown Washington. The commute by POV can be brutal. If you don't know Washington, D.C. and the surrounding aeas have some of the worst commuter traffic jams in the country.

    Owings Mills (Raven Town!!!!!) is a very cool place too! It's located west of Maryland. About 20 mins away from Columbia. We have two regional parks where you can walk your beautiful dog. These parks are near New Towne (Owings Mills).
