    • Obama: Most Secretive Democratic Candidate Ever

Sen. Barack Obama's campaign says his campaign will bring a new level of honesty and transparency to the White House. Obama proudly touts that he and Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla, passed a law requiring more transparency via a public database of all federal spending.

But when it comes to offering the public documents about his own public and private activities, Obama's record for openness gets an "F" grade.

During the heated Democratic primary, Obama complained of the Bush White House being "one of the most secretive administrations in our history" and chided Sen. Hillary Clinton for not releasing her White House schedules.

Ironically, Obama, just days away from possibly being elected president, continues to stonewall a growing chorus of information requests for documents about his legislative, personal health, education, financing, and background -- leaving many voters to cast ballots based on incomplete information.

And serious questions about his past continue to swirl as Election Day looms, fueled in part by his own campaign's refusal to make relevant documents available.

And the press, usually banging at the door for candidates to make "full disclosure" is strangely quiet about Obama's stonewalling.

A Newsmax survey of key Obama aspects of Obama's public and private life continued to be shielded from the public.

When is Clinton coming to Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia to boost her campaign & supporters?
    Question:
Her thousands of followers are rearing and ready to show their force after Obama took four states. They were humbled so many thought of bringing the fight anywhere, small or large states, to stop his media-assisted momentum. Aggresive they are now and all it take is a massive invitation to send a strong message to the other camp: they could be outnumbered but never outfought. It takes a cent to reach a hundred so to speak. From now on, all votes counts from whereever they come. Are the strategists of Clinton not taking cue from the hostile media? Again, they are painting a scenario that Clinton is just after big states and large number of voters which of course is a spin and fallacy. Thus she has to prove this spin wrong and punches must not be pulled. Adversaries are the best advisers at times but one should learn how to read their moves. Nothing is late to save one or two wins in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia What do you think?

    Answer:
Hillary has been in Virgina in recent days. I caught part of her speech. I don't know about the other two states since I sure don't follow her campaign. Just hearing her voice sets my teeth on edge and I stay away from her as much as possible! And today is their Primary along with Maryland and DC. So it is too late. Not to say she won't be back if she is the Democratic Party Nominee, but she might not. If she wins the state today in the Primary she won't give them the time of day later.

Who do you think will win in Maryland? Obama or Clinton. Why?

    Answer:
Obama will win Maryland. There is a high black population in MD and Obama has been getting the black vote out everywhere he goes. He should beat Hillary handily in MD.

Why I are they trying to make the race close in Maryland?
    Question:
How bad is the weather in Maryland that they need to close the polls one hour and half later. I personally think they are trying to help Clinton get more votes. What do you think?

    Answer:
The weather is actually pretty bad. I live in Virginia but watch DC Metro news. We don't get New York winters but for some reason if we get an inch of snow, schools close and so does the federal government. I think they did it just to allow people to come in and vote, it has nothing to do with favoring Clinton. Cheers.

Dakota, Utah, Washington State, Nebraska, Maine, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina and the Virgin Islands. Hillary has only won 10 States! Caucus States: How does it feel knowing Clinton could care less about your votes?
    Question:
WHITE MARSH, Maryland (CNN) — Hillary Clinton on Monday explained away Barack Obama's clean sweep of the weekend's caucuses and primaries as a product of a caucus system that favors "activists" and, in the case of the Louisiana primary, an energized African-American community. She told reporters who had gathered to watch her tour a General Motors plant here that "everybody knew, you all knew, what the likely outcome of these recent contests were." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/02/11/clinton -dismisses-weekend-losses/ Does she not realize that when she opens her mouth, sound actually comes out, and she can be heard?? If I was in one of the caucus states, I'd be mad as a hatter right about now knowing that essentially the future potential president could give two craps about my say. But that's just me - what are your thoughts? natalie - Read it again, and a third time....nope, sorry, a slap in the face is a slap in the face.

    Answer:
I concur. Hillary minimized the states/voters importance every time she loses a primary/caucus. I don't see how she doesn't see that she's alienating voters when she does that. The Louisiana comment was uncalled for. Obama has defeated her by large margins in both heavily African-American populated states and in states with almost NO African-American population. She's also gone so far as to call Obama "the establishment" candidate after he got Ted Kennedy's endorsement. She's she's been touting "35 years of experience" in the establishment, but all of a sudden, Obama represents "the establishment". Once again, she's proving that she'll do or say anything to try to get elected.

Why would Hillary Clinton change her Campaign Manager at this time.?
    Question:
The "reported" reason is that they are in need of more people. Then why would she eliminate one. The fact that she fired a Hispanic and hired an "African" American seems very much like a played "race card". Particularly since, she is currently seeking votes from the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia states, which have a heavy African American voter base. Seems like a slap in the face to me. I doubt very many African Americans are that foolish to vote for a person because on the color of ones skin.

    Answer:
First there is no doubt that Hillary Clinton will lose. The fact that Bill is her husband has choked that off. I do not believe that people are that distracted from reality that they wont see that as a major problem.

how long does it take to drive to Alabama from Maryland?
    Question:

    Answer:
On a plane depends if it's a direct flight. 2 hours. To drive about 7/8 hours.)

The Clinton/Obama debate on Fox: Did Obama accept the invitation?
    Question:
and will it be televised nationally? Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson announced that the campaign has accepted a Fox News invitation for a one-on-one debate with Barack Obama in Washington DC on February 11 — the day before the so-called Potomac Primary featuring DC, Virginia, and Maryland. The debate would also air locally on the DC Fox affiliate WTTG.

    Answer:
He might decline. Debates are not his forte, it's reading prepared speeches and making promises. He was badly beaten in the past and he learned his lessons well. Going against an experienced and competent candidate will make him look silly.

Did Kathleen Kennedy Townsend un-endorse Clinton?
    Question:
Dispatch from Maryland Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a supporter of Sen. Hillary Clinton, spoke at St. Mary's college in Maryland last week and offered a very frank assessment of the state of the Clinton campaign. A Political Wire reader emails a summary: "Townsend said she expects Sen. Barack Obama to win the Democratic presidential nomination and that Clinton is finished. She believed that the Wisconsin results demonstrated that Clinton's coalition (voters over the age of 50 and those earning less than $50,000) had fallen apart. When asked why the Clinton campaign had failed, Ms. Townsend had plenty of opinions and she placed significant blame on Bill Clinton and his racially tinged statements in South Carolina. She also felt that Clinton made a tactical error in making "experience and inevitability" her central campaign themes. Townsend argued that Clinton had little more experience than Obama and far less than candidates such as Senators Dodd and Biden. Additionally, making the inevitability claim hurt her when she lost Iowa... Townsend then lamented Clinton's decision to go negative and question Obama's readiness. She said that she called the Clinton campaign and advised that they 'go out on a high note' but her advice was politely dismissed." http://politicalwire.com/archives/2008/02/23/dispatch_from_ma ryland.html

    Answer:
Sounds like it to me. Happy to see superdelegates and others are not lining up behind Hillary out of fear or misguided feelings of loyalty but are making informed decisions

In all fairness, do you think that Clinton should have congratulated Obama on his 3 state win as of 2/13/08?
    Question:
It's starting to appear, that Clinton is a sore loser, that she does not have the strength or stamina to overcome such a loss of Maryland, The District of Columbia and Virginia. Anytime, Hillary was ahead and won states over Obama, He himself would call Clinton and congratulate her. How rude of Clinton, not to have called Obama and congratulated him on his win. We need someone that is going to take notice with courtesy of others to run the White House. By Clinton not congratulating Obama, tells me one thing... I don't want Clinton to become our next president. One Clinton was enough, just like one Bush was enough, but people voted another Bush into office anyway and you now see the results of it.

    Answer:
Yes, and privately. Otherwise, she would appear to be fawning or faking. It might also irritate her prime supporters. It's a tricky business, huh?

Clinton Ex-Campaign Manager Backs Obama. He's also a Superdelegate. Will this influence next Primaries? How?
    Question:
"The man who served as national manager of former President Clinton's 1992 campaign endorsed Sen. Barack Obama on Wednesday. David Wilhelm, who led the campaign and later became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said Obama had the unique ability to encourage cooperation as a 65-percent president after the divisive years of a 51-percent majority. He was referring to the notion that Obama could govern the country with the support of a large coalition, as opposed to more polarized support for President Bush. Wilhelm is a superdelegate who was previously uncommitted in the race. His endorsement helps Obama in the race for delegates, in which he pulled ahead after Tuesday's sweeps of primaries in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Anybody else, using their brain, figured out why Clinton is saying she is ahead for Dem leaning States?
    Question:
Let's add the states up that went Democrat in the last 4 Presidential elections to be fair. Rhode Island, Ohio, Tennessee, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Arkansas, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nevada, Massachusetts all for Clinton adding up to 196 votes using the 2004 Delegate map provided below. Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Maryland, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, Hawaii, Wash. D.C, Delaware, Louisiana, Georgia, Kentucky, Colorado, and Maine all for Obama adding up to 147 votes using the 2004 Presidential delegate map provided below. Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Montana have not voted yet. Michigan and Florida have not had their votes counted yet. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/electoral. college/ http://www.uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/national.php?f=0 &year=1992 http://www.uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/national.php?f =0&year=1996 Counting on States to vote Democratic that have not voted so in the last 4 Presidential elections is unrealistic.
