Did someone with asthma has an experience of moving from California to Maryland?

I am interested in a specific advice from a person who himself have moved from California to Maryland having an asthma that is cold sensitive. Especially, I am inetersted in the case if this person had a medium strength asthma even in California (2 puffs of flovent 250mg, 2 times a day). How much more inhailers you needed to take in Marylend?
Could you survive there without a prednisone? How much new allergeis kicked in? How you got over in the winter, in the humid summer? Thank you.

Where in MD? I have lived in CA, AZ, and currently reside on the coast of VA. I suffer from steroid dependent asthma, and I also suffer from numerous allergies. This was definately the wrong move for me to make. You need to consider what your triggers are...molds and mildews are high here, allergies are comparable to where I lived in CA (Lauguna Beach area), or worse. Humidity...I can't even begin to describe how bad it is! The 110 degree heat in AZ was more tolerable (for me) than this wet air, and the air is wet all the time, all year round. I cannot say for further inland MD as I have only been as far as Salibury, so far. It does however get colder in the winter with more snow than we get here. Also, and this is a biggy...RESEARCH doctors online BEFORE you move (if you move) find someone compatable with your needs, see if you can get a referral from National Jewish (they are a hospital and reseach center specializing in asthma) in Denver Colorado...don't forget to look them up once you have found them for any violations/complaints. I wish I would have done that before I moved. Do the same with the Hospitals in the area you will be going to. Hope this helps....

Does Southwest airlines have several planes painted in the Maryland One and California One Livery?

I am a F.O. flying CRJ's into and out of Orlando(MCO). When taxiing in, I often see the eye-catching painted flags of Maryland, Texas and California on Soutwest airpanes. I have always thought that there was only one of each with those particular paint schemes, but with the frequency which I see them, there has to be more than one. Maybe its because I remember seeing them as opposed to the regular paint scheme. I have asked my friend who is a F.O. at Southwest, but he doesn't know either.

What are the DMV transfer requirements for a gift of a car between California and Maryland?

My CA registration expires on 8/18/07, which is at the end of this week, for a car I am giving away to my brother (neither of us are minors) who lives in Maryland. He will have someone drive it cross-country to him soon (before Sept. 1). Do I need to pay the CA registration since it's about to expire, since it's no longer "my car" and I am not driving it? Is there any title transfer fee that I need to pay and to whom? Are there any fees my brother wil have to pay and to whom?
Answer:
Family and gift transfers.
The following applies to vehicles which are currently registered in California:
If you acquire a vehicle from your spouse, sibling, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild, or as a gift, you must record this transfer of ownership within 10 days from the date you take possession.
You will need the title, also known as the pink slip, with the previous owner's releasing signature on line one. If the title shows a legal owner, their release must appear on line two.
If the title is lost, an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) must be completed and signed. When an application for duplicate title is used, the legal owner's signature must be notarized.
An odometer mileage certification is required if the vehicle is less than 10 years old. If the title does not have a designated space for this information, a Vehicle/ Vessel Transfer and Reassignment Form (REG 262) signed by both the seller and the buyer will be required. The REG 262 cannot be copied. An original must be submitted. To obtain a form by mail, call DMV's automated phone service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-777-0133. To speak to an operator, call between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, Pacific Standard Time, or pick one up from your local DMV. If calling from outside the United States, please call 916-229-0370.
You must also complete a Statement of Use Tax Exemption (REG 256), to receive the exclusion from the smog certification and use tax.
If the vehicle is a gift from someone other than a family member previously mentioned, you will need to:
Complete a Statement of Facts, indicating the current market value of the vehicle.
Complete a Statement of Use Tax Exemption (REG 256)
Provide a Smog Certification.
The previous owner must provide you with evidence of a valid smog certification. Smog certifications are good for 90 days from the inspection. The smog certification is not required if a biennial certification was submitted to DMV in conjunction with renewal fees, within 90 days prior to the vehicle transfer date. A statement to that effect must be signed by the seller or the buyer. A vehicle inspection report may be required for proof of certification.
Recent legislation changed the requirements for vehicle transfers occurring on or after January 1, 2005. When you transfer a vehicle that is four or less model years old a smog certification will not be required. A smog transfer fee will be collected from the new owner. When a vehicle is more than four model years old, evidence of a current smog certification must be provided by a seller except when the following occurs:
The transfer occurs between a spouse, sibling, child, parent, grandparent, or grandchild.
A biennial smog certification was submitted to DMV within 90 days prior to the vehicle transfer date (a vehicle inspection report may be required for proof of certification).

Well, hopefully your dad is moving because his job is moving him to Oxnard. If so, hopefully his company will hire a moving company to come in and pack up everything in the house, and they will put it in a truck and drive it across country for you. But make sure you keep the clothes, toothbrushes, the things you will need until you move into your new home, with you and don't let them pack it up. Or you will be wearing the same thing with no clean underwear for days! hahahahaha

I have waited to atempt the peternity test at her request, with the hopes of working things out with her. How long does it take to deliver mail from Maryland to California?

My sister sent mail on Monday and I was wondering if it'll get to San Jose, CA by Friday or Saturday.
Answer:
It should be there within 5-6 days. I used to live in Virginia and mailed letters to a friend in Cali all the time. On rare occasions it took a week.
Also keep in mind that last week was a holiday week (July 4), and it usually takes to Post Office a week to get back on track.

I lived for 5 years in Michigan and my astma went out of control
in the winter times. Whenever I got a cold, even 2 weeks of medical leave were not enough and I had asthmatic bronchitists all winters despite a very heavy use of steriod inhailer (aerobid). However I had no problems in the summer there. I moved to Californiya 8 years ago and my astma is under full control with a small flovent dose. Now I am offered a very good job in Maryland. Would I have a chance to adjust there? May be someone had this experience? Thank you.

I could find no evidence of a nonstop flight from BWI to San Diego (SAN). It is necessary to change planes in one of several hub cities between BWI and SAN. The total time required, including layovers between planes, ranges from a little less than 7 hours to about 9 hours, depending on the airline and the transfer point.
