City DescriptionWest Kennebunk is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Kennebunk in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 809 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area.
West Kennebunk is located at 43°24′32″N 70°34′43″W / 43.40889, -70.57861 (43.409001, -70.578649).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.0 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 20000, there were 809 people, 316 households, and 223 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 233.1 people per square mile (90.0/km²). There were 332 housing units at an average density of 95.7/sq mi (36.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.90% White, 0.12% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.87% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, and 0.74% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.24% of the population.
