City Description

Bryceland is a village in Bienville Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 114 at the 2000 census. Bryceland is located at 32°26′38″N 92°59′23″W / 32.44389, -92.98972 (32.443908, -92.989807). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.1 km² (2.3 mi²). 6.0 km² (2.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.43% is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 114 people, 48 households, and 30 families residing in the village. The population density was 18.9/km² (48.8/mi²). There were 58 housing units at an average density of 9.6/km² (24.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 82.46% White and 17.54% African American. There were 48 households out of which 29.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.0% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.5% were non-families. 27.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.38 and the average family size was 2.93. In the village the population was spread out with 22.8% under the age of 18, 10.5% from 18 to 24, 23.7% from 25 to 44,
