City Description

Visalia is a city in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 111 at the 2000 census. Visalia is located at 38°54′54″N 84°26′59″W / 38.915, -84.44972 (38.914923, -84.449698). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 111 people, 45 households, and 31 families residing in the city. The population density was 413.2 people per square mile (158.7/km²). There were 51 housing units at an average density of 189.8/sq mi (72.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.50% White, and 4.50% from two or more races. There were 45 households out of which 22.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.3% were married couples living together, 8.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% were non-families. 22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.47 and the average family size was 2.84. In the city the population was spread out with 20.7% under the age of 18, 13.5% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64,
