City Description

Ten Broeck is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 129 at the 2000 census. Ten Broeck is located at 38°17′42″N 85°34′47″W / 38.295, -85.57972 (38.295102, -85.579821). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 129 people, 47 households, and 39 families residing in the city. The population density was 537.3 people per square mile (207.5/km²). There were 48 housing units at an average density of 199.9/sq mi (77.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.57% White, 1.55% African American, 2.33% Asian, and 1.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.78% of the population. There were 47 households out of which 38.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.7% were married couples living together, 2.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 17.0% were non-families. 14.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
