City DescriptionSilver Grove is a city in Campbell County, Kentucky, United States, along the Ohio River. The population was 1,215 at the 2000 census.
Silver Grove was founded as a company town for the C&O Railroad. In 1914, a newspaper described it as a modern town, because of electric lights, city water, a city manager, a sewage plant, a fire department, a school, and a park. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.2 square miles (5.6 km²), of which, 1.2 square miles (3.2 km²) of it is land and 0.9 square miles (2.4 km²) of it (49.72%) is water.
Silver Grove is located within a climatic transition zone; it is situated at the extreme northern limit of the humid subtropical climate and the extreme southern limit of the humid continental climate.
