City DescriptionSadieville is a city in Scott County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 263 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Lexington–Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Sadieville is located at 38°23′30″N 84°32′8″W / 38.39167, -84.53556 (38.391726, -84.535592).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 263 people, 96 households, and 79 families residing in the city. The population density was 371.8 people per square mile (143.0/km²). There were 114 housing units at an average density of 161.2/sq mi (62.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.54% White, 5.32% African American, and 1.14% from two or more races.
There were 96 households out of which 43.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.8% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.7% were non-families. 14.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size was 3.00.
