City Description

Rolling Fields is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 648 at the 2000 census. Rolling Fields is located at 38°16′9″N 85°40′12″W / 38.26917, -85.67 (38.269120, -85.670117). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 648 people, 253 households, and 195 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,687.5 people per square mile (1,042.5/km²). There were 263 housing units at an average density of 1,090.8/sq mi (423.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.07% White, 0.15% African American, 0.15% Asian, 0.62% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.46% of the population. There were 253 households out of which 36.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.0% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.9% were non-families. 19.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
