City DescriptionOakbrook is a census-designated place (CDP) in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 7,726 at the 2000 census.
Oakbrook is located at 39°0′4″N 84°40′59″W / 39.00111, -84.68306 (39.001030, -84.683100).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 7,726 people, 2,926 households, and 2,206 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 2,368.8 people per square mile (915.0/km²). There were 3,030 housing units at an average density of 929.0/sq mi (358.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.81% White, 1.84% African American, 0.10% Native American, 2.10% Asian, 0.36% from other races, and 0.79% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.06% of the population.
