City Description

Mentor is a city in Campbell County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 181 at the 2000 census. Mentor is located at 38°53′27″N 84°14′44″W / 38.89083, -84.24556 (38.890716, -84.245637). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.5 km²), of which, 0.5 square miles (1.4 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (7.02%) is water. As of the census of 2000, there were 181 people, 70 households, and 56 families residing in the city. The population density was 337.7 people per square mile (129.4/km²). There were 73 housing units at an average density of 136.2/sq mi (52.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White. There were 70 households out of which 35.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.6% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% were non-families. 17.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 2.84. In the city the population was spread out with 21.5% under the age of 18, 9.9%
