According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 766 people, 339 households, and 227 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,246.5 people per square mile (869.9/km²). There were 368 housing units at an average density of 1,079.3/sq mi (417.9/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.91% White, 0.78% Native American, 0.52% Asian, and 0.78% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.13% of the population.
