City DescriptionJeffersonville is a city in Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,804 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Mount Sterling Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Jeffersonville is located at 37°58′9″N 83°49′28″W / 37.96917, -83.82444 (37.969148, -83.824466).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.0 square miles (7.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,804 people, 682 households, and 525 families residing in the city. The population density was 596.6 people per square mile (230.6/km²). There were 738 housing units at an average density of 244.0/sq mi (94.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.06% White, 0.11% African American, 0.11% Native American, 0.17% Asian, and 0.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.94% of the population.
There were 682 households out of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.6% were married couples living together, 12.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.9% were non-families. 19.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. ...
