City Description

Hickory Hill is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 144 at the 2000 census. Hickory Hill is located at 38°17′22″N 85°34′4″W / 38.28944, -85.56778 (38.289434, -85.567742). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.0 square miles (0.1 km²), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 144 people, 53 households, and 44 families residing in the city. The population density was 5,244.4 people per square mile (1,853.3/km²). There were 54 housing units at an average density of 1,966.7/sq mi (695.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 79.86% White, 10.42% African American, 7.64% Asian, and 2.08% from two or more races. There were 53 households out of which 41.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 77.4% were married couples living together, 5.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.1% were non-families. 11.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 2.98. In the city the population was spread out with 25.7% under the age of 18, 4.2%
