City DescriptionWinona is a city in Logan County, Kansas, United States. The population was 228 at the 2000 census.
Winona is located at 39°3′42″N 101°14′42″W / 39.06167, -101.245 (39.061639, -101.244995).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 228 people, 84 households, and 56 families residing in the city. The population density was 900.7 people per square mile (352.1/km²). There were 103 housing units at an average density of 406.9/sq mi (159.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.81% White, 0.44% African American, 0.44% Native American, 0.44% Asian, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.88% of the population.
There were 84 households out of which 36.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 29.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.71 and the average family size was 3.52.
