City DescriptionWilsey is a city in Morris County, Kansas, United States. The population was 191 at the 2000 census.
Wilsey was named after pioneer John D. Wilsey. In the early 1880s, the Missouri Pacific Railroad was built through the county, at which time Wilsey established the city.
Wilsey is located at 38°38′12″N 96°40′34″W / 38.63667, -96.67611 (38.636595, -96.676220).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.7 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 191 people, 77 households, and 51 families residing in the city. The population density was 696.6 people per square mile (273.1/km²). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 313.7/sq mi (123.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.38% White and 2.62% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.52% of the population.
