City DescriptionVictoria is a city in Ellis County, Kansas, United States. The population was 1,208 at the 2000 census.
Victoria is located at 38°51′13″N 99°8′51″W / 38.85361, -99.1475 (38.853588, -99.147456).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.6 square miles (1.5 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,208 people, 492 households, and 324 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,095.1 people per square mile (804.2/km²). There were 513 housing units at an average density of 889.7/sq mi (341.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.50% White, and 0.50% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.83% of the population.
There were 492 households out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% were non-families. 31.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.86.
