City DescriptionSpring Hill is a city in Johnson and Miami counties in the U.S. state of Kansas. The population was 2,727 at the 2000 census.
Spring Hill is located at 38°44′43″N 94°49′45″W / 38.74528, -94.82917 (38.745316, -94.829261).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.1 km²), of which, 3.5 square miles (8.9 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.2 km²) of it (1.71%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,727 people, 973 households, and 747 families residing in the city. The population density was 789.6 people per square mile (305.2/km²). There were 1,014 housing units at an average density of 293.6/sq mi (113.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.48% White, 0.81% African American, 0.84% Native American, 0.15% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.51% from other races, and 1.17% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.79% of the population.
