Sharon is located at 37°15′00″N 98°25′07″W / 37.249992, -98.418613 (Sharon, Kansas) (37.249992, -98.418613).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 210 people, 91 households, and 54 families residing in the city. The population density was 713.4 people per square mile (279.6/km²). There were 100 housing units at an average density of 339.7/sq mi (133.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.24% White, 2.38% Native American, 0.48% Asian, 0.48% from other races, and 1.43% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.48% of the population.
There were 91 households out of which 25.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% were married couples living together, 4.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.6% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 24.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
