Princeton is located at 38°29′18″N 95°16′13″W / 38.48833, -95.27028 (38.488387, -95.270357).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.9 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there are 317 people, 111 households, and 88 families residing in the city. The population density is 941.9 people per square mile (360.0/km²). There are 118 housing units at an average density of 350.6/sq mi (134.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city is 95.90% White, 0.63% African American, 0.63% Asian, and 2.84% from two or more races. 0.63% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 111 households out of which 45.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.8% are married couples living together, 9.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.7% are non-families. 18.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.86 and the average family size is 3.19.
