- Santa schedules annual visits to Wabaunsee County
Santa has scheduled his annual visit to Wabaunsee County with several stops on his busy calendar. On Saturday, December 6, Santa will make his first visit to Wabaunsee County as he arrives in Paxico. Santa will arrive at 4:00 p.m. in downtown Paxico to hand out treats to all of the young and young at heart. A lighted parade will follow at 6:00 p.m. Several of the stores and shops will have discounted sales for the event. The Paxico Merchants Association sponsors this annual event.

"This came about several years ago, kind of with the recognition of the divorce epidemic," he said.

City DescriptionPaxico is a city in Wabaunsee County, Kansas, United States. The population was 211 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Topeka, Kansas Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Paxico is located at 39°4′5″N 96°10′4″W / 39.06806, -96.16778 (39.068122, -96.167685).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 211 people, 82 households, and 55 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,501.9 people per square mile (581.9/km²). There were 90 housing units at an average density of 640.6/sq mi (248.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.31% White, 0.95% African American, 0.95% from other races, and 3.79% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.21% of the population.
There were 82 households out of which 31.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.7% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.9% were non-families. 29.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
