City DescriptionPartridge is a city in Reno County, Kansas, United States. The population was 259 at the 2000 census.
Partridge is located at 37°58′2″N 98°5′29″W / 37.96722, -98.09139 (37.967308, -98.091511).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.2 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 259 people, 98 households, and 72 families residing in the city. The population density was 556.7 people per square mile (212.8/km²). There were 106 housing units at an average density of 227.8/sq mi (87.1/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 86.10% White, 3.47% African American, 5.79% Native American, 1.54% from other races, and 3.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.70% of the population.
There were 98 households out of which 26.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.3% were married couples living together, 3.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.5% were non-families. 25.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.08.
