City DescriptionPalmer is a city in Washington County, Kansas, United States. The population was 108 at the 2000 census.
Palmer is located at 39°37′58″N 97°8′24″W / 39.63278, -97.14 (39.632737, -97.140028).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 108 people, 48 households, and 28 families residing in the city. The population density was 342.5 people per square mile (130.3/km²). There were 55 housing units at an average density of 174.4/sq mi (66.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.07% White and 0.93% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.78% of the population.
There were 48 households out of which 27.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.3% were married couples living together, 2.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.6% were non-families. 37.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 22.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.25 and the average family size was 2.97.
